(AP) � FTD Florists which provides florist and specialty gift products (FTD Florists), said Friday Chief Executive Michael J. Soenen will become chairman of its board of directors.

Soenen will take over the chairman post from Peter J. Nolan, who will stay on as a member of the board.

FTD Florists said Soenen will continue to also serve as CEO and president while the company searches for a replacement for those positions.

FTD Florists board of directors has hired executive recruitment company Korn Ferry International to conduct a search and expects to complete the process before FTD Florists fiscal year ends June 30, the company said. .
